Report cards..Oh boy!

The kids got their report cards today! I was really surprised!

Taylor brought her failing math grade up to passing and all her other grades have come up by atleast 5 points. She worked really hard. I honestly expected the worst.

Cole brought his grades up as well. Not one went down. His reading level came way up! Last 6 weeks they said he was behind what he should be. Now he is right on track. If we could get his conduct on track we’d have it made!

Jewel was so proud of her report card. For pre-K they don’t get a real report card. Just a list with a bunch of S for satisfactory or N for needs improvement. She said her teacher gave her 3 tests and she made 100s on all of them. Her “report card” was full of S. She deserved an E for Excellence! She is so concerned about going to kindergarten next year. She wants to know when she gets to take her nap every day. She says,”I can come home and take a nap and go back later”  I tried to explain to her it doesnt work that way. She doesnt “understand” that. She is still convinced she can take her 2 hour naps next year too. We’ll try to “wean” her over the summer.

Speaking of summer! Summer break is 5 weeks away! OYE! What on earth will I do with these kids for the summer?
